The Edmunds.com, a Santa Monica based online automobile resource company makes a vibrant statement with their award winning flagship office showcasing collaborative workspaces infused with color, fluidity and creative use of dynamic and ambient light. The two storied space, complete with a set of spiraling slides for quick (and fun) transfers between floors, is designed to create an eye popping experience of functionality paired with tongue in cheek-design to engage the people that occupy it. Cooledge was specified to provide the feature surface illumination scheme for the client’s ceilings directly above the Corvette and slides as well as discreet surface mounted illumination for their meeting rooms. This project was recognized with a commendable citation from AL Light & Architecture Design Awards 2017 which showcases excellence in lighting design and demonstrates how creative application of new lighting technologies results in unique and immersive experiences of space.
